This is the Brew House of the Orval Abbey
A look as we walked into the Brew House on the right is the Brewing Engineer.
The Brewing Engineer standing in front of the Kettle.
I never really found out what malts they use but based on the 3 bulk grain bins
and what the young lady told us I kaina figured they used 3 malts.
I was in awe as I saw the liquid life running into the bucket. I unfortunately
left my test tubes in the car !!!
This is a look into one of the secondary tanks after it had been drained.
Not shown is the giant bag of hops that one of the guys pulled out
of the vessel as we stood there.
The secondary fermenters lined both sides of the room and went on for quite a way.
The primary fermentation is done in open fermenters so we weren't allowed in
the fermentation room, it was sealed and had no windows.
As my wife and I stood IN the yeast slurry in front of the yeast collection
vessel I wished I had a GALLON JAR to take some HOME.
